Scenario: You have a good friend who is insecure, although most people don’t know it. For most people, Henry simply seems arrogant. He received little recognition from his parents growing up and therefore has a nagging need for recognition and attention. He regularly redirects conversations to himself. He often highlights his achievements and comes across as boastful. You’ve heard from others that he isn’t considered a team player at work because he promotes his contributions at the expense of giving his teammates credit.
What might you say or do to help Henry be more secure and humble?
